Argo Film Festival is dedicated to young filmmakers, who despite the difficulties keep on chasing their dream and continue to inspire us through their work. They create scenarios and pictures and they share their every thought with us!

The festival is also dedicated to the previous generations of actors, directors and producers, who pass their knowledge and experiences to the young and restless film-makers and give them the courage to continue in their pursuits.

Volos is a town in the center of Greece and is situated in the most privileged of areas, by the sea and at the foot of mount Pileon. It is filled with natural beauty, legends, history and traditions. Chosen by the Ancient Greek Olympus Gods, demigods and centaurs, titans and giants, nymphs and Dryads, warriors, kings and conquerors. It was in Volos and on mount Pelion, where the great wars of the Giants started, where the Gods hunted and of course where the great Asclepius studied Medicine. It was here that the mortal King Peleus married the Nereid Thetis who bore Achilles. From the Kingdom of Iolkos one of the most significant and famous Greek campaigns started, the journey of Jason and the legendary Argonauts. They say that mount Pelion is the summer residence of the Olympian gods. And whoever comes here, can feel the slender of this town and its surroundings.
